Thank you Abdulhamid for sharing that with us. Yes. So as Abdulhamid said, the main purpose of scoping review trying to mapping all the previous studies to identify or to reach to the research gap. So, the aim of scoping review for… I’m trying to provide an overview of the research evidence that conducted an access to healthcare among women and healthcare providers, particularly in Saudi Arabia.

So, I used Arksey and O’Malley framework, which has five stages to conduct a scoping review: starting from identifying the research question, identifying the relevant studies, selecting these studies and charting the data, finally, summarise the result. Each stage will be explained further in next slides.

So, the research question. As I said, I’m trying to identify barriers and facilitators rural women and healthcare providers experience in accessing and delivering healthcare in rural areas of Saudi Arabia.

So, scoping review, I used different databases… to retrieve the study. For example, PubMed, Google Scholar, Saudi digital library, etc. All these databases used to retrieve peer-reviewed articles. So, this is that eligibility criteria… able to, to achieve the studies. So, I’m focusing on adult rural women and healthcare providers. I also try to identify studies that have participant female, because I’m trying to identify the gender dynamic and how it’s related to access to healthcare. Also, I selected studies… timeframe from 2000 to 2020. And I include studies written in English and in Arabic because some study conducted in Arabic. Also, I tried to include all types of studies, qualitative, quantitative, and mixed method.

So, this… Prisma flowchart shows the process of selecting studies. So, I initially retrieved 956 articles. After removing duplicates, I got 500 studies. I screened the articles, titles and some of them for their abstract. I excluded 473 articles. Also, I considered to preview some reference list of specific articles. So I add three articles. So I got 30 articles, which I screened slowly. And for… the whole… the whole research, the whole articles. I excluded ten articles. And then, I do the charting. After charting also I exclude four… I exclude articles because all these articles not meet the inclusion criteria. Finally, I selected 16 article for this scoping review.
